-
Design and development work on Prometheus, the
Canadian wildfire growth model developed to the current Microsoft COM
standards and protocols.
-
Programmed a light interception modeling system (LITE V1,
V2, SLIM V1, V2, BRITE) with Dr. P. Comeau, Ministry of Forests, using object
oriented programming techniques with Visual C++ 6.0 and Microsoft Foundation
Classes (MFC).
-
Design and development work on FWxWIN, a fire weather index
application using object oriented development tools under Borland Delphi.
-
Development of a client/server application pair to work over
the internet using the WWW transfer protocols across heterogeneous environments.
-
Programmed and helped design VISTAS, a 3-dimensional tree stand
statistical and visualization tool.
-
Helped design and implement a pathogen simulator (SWAT) which was
integrated into a tree growth simulator (TASS).
-
Design and development of the Breed program, a cost effectiveness
evaluation of tree breeding programmes. Work involved design and implementation
of a Windows user interface for a ported DOS-based application.
