Upgraded the TIPSY program, written in Borland C++/OWL V5.0,
to object-oriented programming standards.
Designed and implemented new dialog boxes as well as
modifying existing code;
created routines to manipulate the database used by the
program;
used the document and view managers to improve the look
and feel of the program.

Maintained the documentation for the LITE program and created
an associated on-line help file using HelpBreeze. LITE calculates light
penetration through tree canopies.

Upgraded and maintained the STARS program written in Microsoft
C for DOS. STARS records data about tree morphology on handheld computers.

Developed a Microsoft Access database to study cardiac patients.
The program uses Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications and MS Jet Database
Engine SQL. Responsible for creation of data-entry forms, database queries,
and reports based on the data.

Designed and created a database program in Microsoft Access
97 for online sampling equipment information.

Responsible for the upgrade, maintenance and technical support
of career-counselling software written using QuickBasic. Subsequently ported
the program to both the DOS and Windows versions of Visual Basic, adding
